Sharing a vision

Sharing a vision is a leader's ability to convey the direction they want to go in a way that others too can take ownership of. A vision, when it stays only in the leader's mind, cannot move a team; it comes alive only when it is shared and when people see themselves as a part of it. A well-shared vision gives meaning to daily work; people commit more deeply when they see not what they are doing but what they are doing it for. A goal that lacks meaning often remains merely a task. Coaching helps a leader first clarify their own vision for themselves, and then convey it in a way that inspires others.
