Coaching leadership

Coaching leadership is a leader helping their team find its own answers by asking questions rather than giving orders. John Whitmore is among the first to show that the principles of coaching can be carried into leadership. In this approach, the leader ceases to be the one who answers every question; they develop people's capacity to think and take responsibility. A leader who constantly gives answers often makes the team dependent on them and, without realizing it, hinders their development.
