Delegating

Delegating is a leader being able to hand over a task, and with it responsibility, to their team. For most leaders this is one of the hardest things to learn, because letting go of a task requires loosening both control and the belief that 'I do it best'. Yet a leader who keeps everything on their own shoulders both exhausts themselves and hinders their team's growth; people grow only when given responsibility. Delegating is not dumping a task; it is handing it to the right person with enough trust and room. Coaching helps a leader notice the real reason behind the tasks they cannot let go of, often a matter of trust or control.
