Unconditional positive regardRogers
Unconditional positive regard is valuing a person without their having to change themselves to win approval. Carl Rogers counts it among the fundamental conditions of a helping relationship. A person who is accepted lets go of their defenses and can look at themselves more honestly. Judgment spoils this ground. Cevvela's principle of non-judgment draws directly from here.
