The teacher

The teacher is the role of directly passing on knowledge and skill to the mentee. In this role the mentor teaches the knowledge of a field or the technique of a task. Teaching is only one part of mentoring; mentoring includes, beyond teaching, a relationship and a companionship. In teaching, the mentor adapts to the mentee's own way of understanding. A good teacher, in passing on knowledge, helps the mentee grasp it in their own language.
