The advocate is the role of supporting the mentee before others and looking after their interest. This includes speaking on the mentee's behalf in their absence and standing by them when they are wronged. The advocate becomes the mentee's voice in places where their voice is not heard. This role lets the mentee remember their own value and feel they are not alone. Someone who knows there is a person behind them takes a step more boldly.
