The SECI modelNonaka

The SECI model is a cycle that explains how knowledge transforms from one person to another and from tacit to explicit. Developed by Ikujiro Nonaka and Hirotaka Takeuchi, this model consists of four stages: socialization, externalization, combination, and internalization. Its essence is a continuous cycle in which tacit knowledge, by being shared, turns into explicit knowledge, and explicit knowledge turns back into tacit knowledge. Mentoring works right inside this cycle; the mentor shares their tacit knowledge, and the mentee internalizes it. Through this transformation, knowledge flows alive from one person to another.
