Modeling

Modeling is the mentee learning by following the path of the master or the mentor. In Albert Bandura's social learning theory, modeling is the acquiring of behavior through observation; a person learns by seeing and imitating what another does. By showing how they do a task, the mentor offers the mentee a model to follow. This is a natural way of passing on many skills that are hard to put into words. An example shown is often more instructive than a rule explained.
