Inner conflict
Inner conflict is the tension that arises from a person carrying two contradictory wishes or values at the same time. On one side there may be a wish for safety, on the other a desire for freedom; both are real, and satisfying both at once is often not possible. This conflict makes deciding difficult and can freeze a person in place. Inner conflict is not a flaw; it often appears on the threshold of an important decision. The coach helps the client see both conflicting sides clearly and notice which value is more of a priority for them.
