Coming prepared

Coming prepared is the mentee arriving at each meeting in a way that adds value. This means having thought about what was discussed in the previous meeting, bringing concrete questions, and having reviewed the steps taken. A mentee who comes unprepared wastes the limited meeting time. Preparation is both a respect for the mentor's time and a way for the mentee to get more from the process. A well-prepared meeting is often the most fruitful one.
