Trust

Trust is the load-bearing ground on which the mentoring relationship is built. Without trusting their mentor, the mentee neither shares their vulnerabilities nor truly listens to their advice. Trust is not built in a moment; it accumulates over time through consistency and a non-judgmental attitude. When this ground is solid, the mentee can open even the hardest matters. Trust is both the starting condition of the relationship and its most precious accumulation.
