Kairos and Chronos

In Greek there are two names for time. Chronos is measured, sequential clock time; the time of the calendar. Kairos is qualitative, ripened time; the right moment for something. A decision is sometimes awaited for months and then made in a single kairos moment. The distinction holds the difference between measured duration and the lived moment.
