Introduction to the network

Introduction to the network is the mentor bringing the mentee together with the right person. The web of relationships a mentor has built over the years is a valuable resource for the mentee; a good introduction can shorten ties that would take the mentee years to build alone. The mentor sees who can help the mentee and builds that bridge. This skill is one of the ways mentoring widens the mentee's world. An introduction often opens more doors than a long piece of advice.
