Disorganized attachment
Disorganized attachment is a contradictory pattern that swings between turning toward closeness and fleeing from it. In this pattern a person both wants closeness and fears it, which can lead to an inconsistent and confused stance in relationships. This often bears the trace of situations where early relationships were a source of both safety and unease. A person with disorganized attachment may experience an inner contradiction in the face of closeness. Understanding this pattern offers an educational awareness; for deep work, the accompaniment of a trained professional is valuable.
