Reading body language

Reading body language is noticing the client's nonverbal signs. A slumping shoulder, crossed arms, or an averted gaze often speaks before words. The coach takes these signs not as a judgment but as data to be curious about, and reflects them back to the client when needed. The sentence 'you drew back a little as you said that' makes visible what went unnoticed. When word and body conflict, the body often tells the truer thing.
