Awareness of breath-holding
Awareness of breath-holding is noticing where and when the breath is cut off. A person often, especially in moments of stress or concentration, holds their breath without realizing it; these small pauses can be a sign of tension in the nervous system. This awareness helps a person release the breath they are holding and return to the natural flow. Noticing where one holds the breath is often noticing a tension. A released breath is often the beginning of a relaxation.
