The assumption of resourcefulness

The assumption of resourcefulness is regarding the client as full of resources and complete. Laura Whitworth and Henry Kimsey-House, the founders of Co-Active coaching, express it as "the client is naturally creative and possesses their own resources." The coach tries not to complete someone who is lacking but to bring to light what already exists. This assumption determines the coach's patience. A coach who hurries prevents the client from reaching their own answer.
