Accountability structure

An accountability structure is setting up an arrangement by which the client's commitment will be followed up. An intention, when there is no account owed to anyone, is easily forgotten; whereas if someone will ask about it, the likelihood of acting increases. This structure may be the coaching session itself, but it may also be a friend, a journal, or a regular check-in. The coach builds this not as a tool of pressure but as a scaffold that helps the client stay true to their own word. A visible follow-up prevents the intention from evaporating.
