Well-formed outcome

A well-formed outcome is a goal turned from negative into positive and from abstract into sensory. It comes from the NLP tradition. When a person says 'I don't want to be stressed', the coach turns this into a positive direction with the question 'what do you want, what should be there instead?'. The outcome is also tied to concrete signs: 'how would you know you had achieved it, what would you see and feel?'. Starting from what is wanted rather than what is avoided creates a goal the brain can orient toward.
