Psyche

In Jung, the psyche is the psychic field encompassing all layers, conscious and unconscious. It is not merely the thinking mind but the organizing whole behind the personality. The psyche expresses itself through dream, image, and symbol. The concept treats the soul as a broad field, without reducing it to a single function.
