The implicitthe implicit

What Gendlin calls the implicit is meaning that has not yet come into words but is already present in lived experience. When we say 'I can't quite put it into words, but I know it', we are pointing to the implicit. Gendlin developed this as a philosophy of the living process. Language draws single sentences, one by one, from this implicit ground.
