The flight responseflight
The flight response is the body moving in the direction of getting away in the face of a danger. When the nervous system senses that fleeing is safer than fighting, it quickly prepares the body to move. This response can be felt as a restlessness in the legs, an urge to flee, or an inability to stay still. The flight response, like the fight response, comes from a protective root. The body tries to secure itself by getting away from the danger.
