The ICF competencies
The ICF competencies are the set of criteria by which the International Coaching Federation defines good coaching. They consist of eight core competencies and range from ethical foundations to presence, from active listening to evoking awareness. This framework takes coaching out of being a matter of personal talent and makes it a profession that can be learned and assessed. It forms the basis of certification and training worldwide. The coach regularly reviews their own practice in the mirror of these competencies.
