Expanding questions

Expanding questions open up a narrowed view and make room for new possibilities. If the client is stuck on a single option, the coach asks: 'what else could there be, including what does not come to mind first?' Most people settle for the first solution they find and do not see the possibilities behind it. These questions enlarge the field of options in a non-judgmental way. When more than one road is seen, the choice too becomes freer.
