Summary

A Machiavellian guide that identifies the 48 laws of gaining and maintaining power by analyzing the methods of historical leaders, strategists, and tyrants. Setting morality entirely aside, it explains the mechanisms of manipulation, showmanship, and self-serving relationships.

Cevvela Comment

This book is like a cold-blooded snake. Greene completely shatters the moral compass and replaces it with nothing but a pure and ruthless mechanism of self-interest. It is the exact opposite of Cevvela’s spirit. We say this: integrity is not a choice; it is a matter of character. This book, however, argues that righteousness is merely an illusion, while power is the only reality. Managers and leaders must be aware of these dark tactics—not to use them, but to recognize those who do and take precautions. In the hands of those who use power solely to dominate, this book becomes a weapon. We are building to share power. Read this text, learn the anatomy of darkness, but refuse to become a part of that darkness.

“Başkalarının hatalarından ders al, kendi hatalarından öğrenmek çok masraflıdır.”

Reading threshold

Two reflection prompts to note while reading — you do not need to answer them.

  1. After finishing, which line or scene stayed with you — and why?

  2. Is there a threshold in the text you recognize — do you want to cross it or pause?
