Summary

Aphorisms dedicated to the destruction of beliefs, ideologies, and every form of solace that binds humans to life. An absolute nihilism that argues that nothingness lies at the core of existence and that hope is, in fact, an illusion that further enslaves humanity.

Cevvela Comment

Cioran is the prophet of darkness. His language is poetic, deadly, and poisonous. He shatters the clichéd “hold on to life” lies with a single sentence. You come to feel that everything you’ve imbued with meaning in your life—your love, your beliefs—is actually just a story concocted to suppress the fear of death. Why does Cevvela make you read this book? A true and unshakable will cannot be built without ridding yourself of false hopes. Cioran tears down all structures and leaves you alone in that bottomless void. But those who can endure that void can kindle their own fire without seeking anyone’s approval. Warning: This book is dangerous for the weak-minded; it may push you into inaction.
